No to military Recruitment-- Yay power of the people

I participated in a GREAT protest today to shut down the Oakland military recruiting center— I bike by the recruiting center every day, and it makes me so mad!


So it felt really good to march with over 200 folks in downtown Oakland to the recruiting center, where we “beautified” the center —ie, painted it with water-based paint messages & a mural.


We shut down the center [well, they closed it before we even got there] and partied & painted in the street for a good long while. Yay for the power of the people!
